On Friday December 16, 2016, at 7:00 p.m., John E. Lawrence will present “The Magic of Christmas,” his holiday concert event at Towsley Auditorium located in WCC’s Morris Lawrence Building. General Admission is $25 at the door. This year’s show will be a fundraiser for SafeHouse Center, building communities free of domestic violence and sexual assault.
John has assembled a thirty piece all-star production of musicians and singers that will perform an array of holiday favorites ranging from classics, to songs from the “Charlie Brown Christmas Special,” and “Alvin & the Chipmunks”, to Jazz and R&B such as Donny Hathaway’s “This Christmas”. There will be something to appeal to everyone’s holiday fancy.
John E. Lawrence, nationally renowned guitarist / Author / Producer, is putting on this production as his musical gift to the community. “This is my way of giving back to the community that has given me so much,” says John.
“I have soft spot in my heart for SafeHouse Center because my late sister Cynthia Weaver, who died in 2006 was a victim to domestic violence, received assistance from Safe House Center,” says John.
